AIChE Spotlights MAC’s Pioneers of Diversity

13/13   in the series AIChE Observes Black History Month

In February, AIChE celebrates Black History Month by recognizing the significant contributions black engineers have made to the profession.

AIChE’s Minority Affairs Committee (MAC) has been integral in upholding AIChE’s commitment to IDEAL. In 2015, MAC celebrated its 25th anniversary and AIChE conducted a series of video interviews with MAC Pioneer Award recipients. Watch the video above to hear from some of MAC’s most prominent leaders and advocates: James Wei, Henry Brown, Otis Shelton, Lance Collins, Christine Grant, and Gerry Lessells.

Some of these testimonials can also be found in the book on MAC’s history, A Retrospective: Celebrating a Quarter-Century of Service to the Chemical Engineering Community
