Search for the Next Bioengineering & Translational Medicine Journal Editor

The Bioengineering & Translational Medicine (BioTM) journal is a premier journal in bioengineering and related fields. BioTM is an official publication of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), which is published by John Wiley & Sons. BioTM is focused on fundamental chemical and biological engineering approaches that drive and produce innovative technologies and solutions that impact, or have the potential to impact, clinical practice and/or commercial healthcare products. With an editorial team of one editor-in-chief and four associate editors, this peer-reviewed journal includes research reports, reviews, and rapid communications with a focus on advances in biomolecular engineering.

Responsibilities

The editor-in-chief of BioTM is responsible for the overall quality of the journal, oversees the peer review process, and develops and implements strategies to enhance the reputation of the journal. The editor selects the editorial team and staff. There is financial assistance from AIChE to support the staff. The editorial position is a five-year commitment, potentially renewable for an additional five years. The editor reports to the Publication Committee of AIChE and must abide by its ethical guidelines.
