Share Your Thoughts on the Future of Chemical Engineering

The AIChE's Virtual Local Section is hosting an interactive discussion to seek AIChE member input about our profession's future this month. All are invited to attend this meeting. You do not have to be a member of the Virtual Local Section to attend and there is no fee.

The Virtual Local Section is gathering information prior to the meeting via a confidential questionnaire. While we hope you do both, you are welcome to fill out this questionnaire without attending the meeting and you are welcome to attend the meeting without filling out the questionnaire.

Note in the details below that this meeting will be held two times to suit your time zone on Wednesday the 22 and Thursday the 23 of April. Also note that the meetings this month will be an hour and a half long instead of one hour.

Give your input on the future of engineering

Join NASEM Chemical Engineering in the 21st Century Study: Give Your Input!, facilitated by Aaron Sarafinas, Principal, Sarafinas Process & Mixing Consulting LLC.

What will chemical engineers be working on over the next 30 years? How will we be working differently? What sorts of skills will we need to learn and develop?

The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is conducting a study that will guide our profession for the next 30 years. The AIChE's Virtual Local Section is hosting this meeting so that rank-and-file AIChE members have an opportunity to provide input to this study. Visit the meeting website for more details.

Aaron Sarafinas is a recognized expert in process development and mixing technology and has facilitated many large idea-generation events, both for in-person and virtual participants.
