Lizzy Zimmerman is a senior at the University of Iowa double-majoring in chemical engineering and biochemistry and is the president of the AIChE Student Chapter at the University of Iowa. Lizzy has helped create and lead some really exciting activities for her chapter, including several Kids Day Camps, which her chapter hosts annually as day-long events dedicated to K-5 STEM outreach in the local community.
John Cirucci, an AIChE Foundation Trustee, sat down with Lizzy for a chat about her efforts at the University of Iowa, her insights on the STEM outreach program, and her plans for the future.
