Metabolic Engineering 16 | AIChE

Metabolic Engineering is a rapidly advancing field that enables production of biofuels, biochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and recombinant proteins.

The Metabolic Engineering community keeps pushing the frontiers by developing new tools and methodologies and expanding the application areas for metabolic engineering. The ME16 meeting will focus on the most recent advances in the field.

The format of the meeting will facilitate knowledge and idea exchange and networking. The talks will be short, leaving good time for poster sessions, exhibition, and discussions in the longer breaks between the sessions.

The meeting will be held in the center of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

Metabolic Engineering conferences have been my favorite conference series since I participated in 2004 as a Ph.D. student. This is the place to meet the academic and industrial experts in the field, be inspired for new research directions, set up collaborations and have a great time together. The number of participants (typically 500-600 people) and single-track format with short talks, makes it easy to find and discuss research with colleagues from all over the world.

The Metabolic Engineering Conference offers the highest quality technical information in the field. This provides valuable learning and sharing opportunities for LanzaTech. We can hear from leading scientists and engineers about technical advancements that may contribute to our growth, as well as share the work we are doing to gather feedback from experts in the metabolic engineering community.
Michael Koepke, Chief Innovation Officer, Lanzatech
As someone who is in the early stages of my career and trying to find my niche in the opportunities that I can't find elsewhere. From sharing my work and receiving valuable feedback, to being considered for an award that highlights young professionals, to the chance to meet new faces and old friends and discuss potential collaborations, the Metabolic Engineering Conference has proven to be incredibly beneficial to my career journey.
