Industry, academic and Institute leaders will join representatives of groups that are currently underrepresented or underserved in chemical engineering to develop plans to enrich and expand AIChE’s diversity efforts.
The goals of the workshop are to:
- Better align AIChE’s diversity programs with industry’s workforce needs
- Identify three to five areas in which AIChE can better support underrepresented and underserved constituencies
- Develop plans for a Diversity Summit to be held at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City this November, where best practices will be shared and enriched and expanded programs will be launched
