Sidharth Razdan

Sidharth Razdan is a Ph.D. candidate in the chemical engineering department at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is working under the guidance of Dr. Sutapa Barua.  He also received his masters in chemical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2016. Prior to that, he obtained his Bachelors in chemical engineering from India in 2014.  His current research focuses on the study of polymer particle-biomolecular interactions and composite membrane synthesis which find its application in bioseparation, for removal of different bacterial strains from water and biological solutions using the BODIPY Fluorescence Assay technique. In the past, during his graduate study he gained valuable experience working as R&D intern at Praxair on projects which involved Process Design, Modeling, Simulation, Optimization and Validation of Air Pre-purification/Filtration units. During his Undergraduate study as a Project trainee intern at Laser Science & Technology Centre (LASTEC), Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO) he worked on two projects, “Benzene vapor concentration measurements in ambient air of Delhi using Differential Absorption Lidar” and the second study involved “Selection of wavelength pairs for CO2 laser based Differential Absorption Lidar for standoff detection of Thiodiglycol (a chemical simulant)”.
