Dr Siari Sosa is a Technology Development Manager for the Low Carbon Resources Team in Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas). Her team is part of the Research, Development and Demonstration group (RD&D), focusing on innovative technologies in the areas of carbon capture, sequestration and utilization, as well as renewable gas production applications. In her 20-year career with SoCalGas, Dr. Sosa acted as subject matter expert in multiple areas including materials engineering, welding, steel metallurgy and failure analysis, and studied biogas impacts in materials and equipment part of the natural gas infrastructure.
Dr. Sosa received a PhD and MSc in Materials Science from the University of Southern California.
