Ken First is a recent retiree from the Dow Chemical Company and currently a Staff Consultant with AIChE Center for Chemical Process Safety and part-time Lecturer at the University of Michigan. He received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Case-Western Reserve University and has more than 45 years industrial experience within Process Research, Process Engineering, AgroChemicals Manufacturing Technology, and Process Safety. Over the past few years Ken has developed various Process Safety training workshops and spreadsheet tools to assist study teams to be more productive. These materials are being updated and made available to the chemical industry through the AIChE Center for Chemical Process Safety and the European Process Safety Centre.
