National University of Singapore

Ms. Jinsong He (BSc; MSc) is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore. Her current research work is centered on the development and applications of adsorption and membrane technologies for water treatment. Her main works are development of two types of highly cost-effective membranes, namely, functional particle embedded membrane and ion-imprinted membrane, for decontamination of toxic heavy metals from aqueous solutions. In addition, she has successfully developed a full-scale manufacture facility for production of metallic oxide nano-particle, which can be used for treating highly toxic arsenic from groundwater. She has done very well in fundamental research. She has published a total of six papers in the prestigious journals with high impacts, such as Water Research, and Journal of Membrane Science within three year. She also presented several papers in the AICHE from 2012 to 2014. She is the only recipient of the NUS President's Graduate Fellowship in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Year 2014. She is shortlisted for Young Chemical Engineer of IChemE in Year 2014 and 2015.
