George Weeden

George S. Weeden Jr. was born in Joliet, Illinois, USA. In 2007, he graduated from Lowell High School in Indiana and entered Purdue University in the Fall of the same year. During his undergraduate stay, he worked with Professor Linda Wang and was introduced to research in the area of separations, specifically chromatography. In May of 2011, he graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. After his graduation, he continued at Purdue for his graduate studies in chemical engineering and chose professor Wang as his advisor. The focus of his PhD work was in the design and optimization of continuous chromatography processes. He received his PhD from Purdue University in May of 2016. He now works for Sanofi Genzyme in Massachusetts on the design of purification processes for therapeutic proteins.
