David Cirelli is a Senior Director in Pfizer Inc.’s Analytical Research and Development department where he leads a group responsible for development of biological and impurity assays used in the characterization and quality control of Pfizer’s biotherapeutics and vaccine portfolio. David has held various technical and leadership roles during his 22 year tenure in Pfizer/Wyeth/Genetics Institute research and development organizations. More recently, David led the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine analytical team responsible for technical strategy, method development, validation and transfer, product and process characterization, and quality control. David earned his Master’s degree in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs from Temple University’s School of Pharmacy and his Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Exercise Sciences from Gettysburg College.
