Ben Roose, PhD is a Senior Scientist in the Vaccine Analytics Research & Development department at Merck based out of West Point, PA. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University before pursuing his PhD in protein crystallography at the University of Pennsylvania. Since joining Merck, he has supported the advancement of the company’s RNA vaccine pipeline with a focus on characterizing mRNA drug substance. He has experience in analytical method development across a variety of techniques such as HPLC, immunoassay, and cell-free translation.
