Ala Bazyleva, PhD, is a research chemist at the Thermodynamics Research Center (TRC) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST, Boulder, CO, USA; Email: ala.bazyleva@nist.gov). She earned her BS/MS in chemistry and PhD in chemistry from the Belarusian State Univ. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Univ. of Alberta and the Colorado School of Mines. Her experience includes experimental thermodynamics and thermophysics for pure compounds and mixtures, prediction of thermophysical and thermochemical properties, and cheminformatics. Bazyleva joined NIST in 2015, and her current duties include data quality assessment, development of thermodynamic models and methods for data analysis, and mentoring students.
